NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) FOR SESSION 2021/2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Safety Specialist Committee (SSC) will be held on Wednesday, 8 June 2022 at 6:00pm at the HKIE Headquarters, 9/F Island Beverley, No 1 Great George Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, for the following purposes:
1. To receive and confirm the Minutes of the AGM for Session 2020/2021.
2. To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the SSC for Session 2021/2022.
3. To receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the SSC for Session 2021/2022.
4. To elect the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the SSC for Session 2022/2023.
In case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the SSC shall check on the Institution’s website at www.hkie.org.hk and the SSC’s website at http://ssc.hkie.org.hk of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.
Members are reminded that if you come to the Headquarters to attend the AGM, you are advised to wear a surgical mask.

Nominations for Chairman and Ordinary Members
Chairman
The outgoing Committee has decided to nominate Ir Prof Joseph CHI Wuh Jian for election as the Chairman for Session 2022/2023.
No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause 7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The outgoing Committee has decided to opt for 12 Ordinary Members, and seven Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Prof Joseph CHI Wuh Jian, Ir CHENG Chi Yan, Ir Victor TSE Wing Fung, Ir Dr LAU Kwok Cheong, Ir Kelvin LEUNG Kwok Fu, Ir Jacky NG Chun Kei and Ir Paul
CHAN Po Loi.
Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are six vacancies for the Ordinary Members.
The Committee has decided to nominate the following six candidates for Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Ir Victor TSE Wing Fung, Ir Dr LAU Kwok Cheong, Ir Kelvin LEUNG Kwok Fu, Ir Jacky NG Chun Kei, Ir Paul CHAN Po Loi and Ir Thomas TONG Yiu Nam.
No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause 7.2(d) of the Division Rules (i.e. Ordinary Member of the Committee who is of 35 years of age or below)
Ir Jaimi SIU Hin Ting shall retire by end of the Session. There is one vacancy for the Ordinary Member. The Division Committee has decided to nominate Miss Constance WU Kaijun for the Ordinary Member for a three-year term.
