Programme Highlights:
CLP
Pulse is the revitalised clock tower which formed part of CLP's Head Office for
more than seven decades from 1940 to 2012. The building is not only a symbol of
the company whose steadfast service has been a driving force behind Hong Kong’s
modernity, but is also regarded as an iconic landmark of the locality and
collective memory of the community.
The
unique CLP clock tower was named a Grade 1 historic building in 2018 and has
since been turned into a cultural hub featuring multimedia and interactive
exhibitions and a wide range of creative programmes and activities for the
public to enjoy. CLP Pulse showcases the intertwined histories of Hong Kong’s
electricity development and the Kadoorie Family
A
Guided tour will be arranged to explore the way in which electricity – a
relative novelty a century ago – has powered Hong Kong’s growth and brought
many transformational changes to people’s lives, and enjoy different
interactive, immersive activities that guide them towards the lifestyles of a sustainable
future.
