Enhancing Design for Safety through Collaboration and Communication

Content
Design for safety (DfS) is considered as one of the new safety initiatives in
accident prevention in Hong Kong, although in UK, similar Construction and
Design Management (CDM) regulations has been enforced since 1995 with
successful result.

In the absence of legislations on DfS, it is believed that the DfS could further
be enhanced through better collaboration and communication between the
engineering and OSH professions. In the presentation, there will be a
discussion on how both professions can work together in the enhancement of
accident prevention
