Program Highlight:
Fire
risk is still one of the main concerns when executing installation in the
construction period, in particular hot work at indoor areas. The majority of
hot works inside the building are welding, soldering and cutting process.
Nowadays, there are some new cutting method and pipe connection introduced to
the industry, in order to significant reduce the demand of hot work inside. The
seminar aims to introduce some of these new connection methods with successful
project reference for sharing new best practice in Hong Kong. Other than fire
risk concern, hygiene of water pipe installation is also a hot topic that
engineers shall consider in their design of pipework connection method.
Removing soldering from pipework connection by using mechanical jointing method
may be a way forward and can be further review and discuss in this
seminar.
