30th Anniversary Dinner Celebration

We are pleased to announce that our Safety Specialist Committee 30th Anniversary Dinner was successfully held on 16^th May 2025 at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hotel, gathering 350 guests to celebrate this remarkable occasion.

We had the honour of hosting our head judge for the Design For Safety Excellence Award 2025, the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works) of the Development Bureau, Ir Lau Chun Kit, Ricky, JP, along with our Guest of Honour, the Director of Water Supplies, Ir Wong Yan Lok, Roger, JP.   We were also joined by esteemed VIP guests, including the Director of Civil Engineering & Development Dept, Ir Fong Hok Sing, Michael JP; the Director of Buildings Department, Mr Ho Chun Hung, JP; the Chairman of the Construction Industry Council, Ir Prof. Thomas Ho; the Chairman of the Panel on Development of the Legco, Ir Dr Hon Lo Wai Kwok, GBS, MH, JP; Ir Prof C.S. Poon from the Dept of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The HK Polytechnic University; and Ir Prof Eric Ma Siu Cheung, GBS, JP, President of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, among others. 

We are also grateful to all supporting organizations, including our main sponsor, the Construction Industry Council, booth sponsors Hilti, Milwaukee Tool HK, and Nextgen, as well as wine sponsor Drillcut Ltd, and the table sponsors who joined us to share this joyful moment.

The opening ceremony featured an exhilarating Taiko drum performance that set the tone for the night.  The Chairman of Construction Industry Council, Ir Prof Thomas Ho delivered a presentation which effectively highlighting the importance of safety in the industry.  His call to action encouraged open communication and collaboration, inspiring everyone to prioritize safety in their daily practices.    Guests were captivated by the enchanting singing performance by TVB artist Ms. Cindy Chan, who left everyone mesmerized with her melodious voice.   The lucky draw added an exciting thrill to the evening, offering an array of fantastic prizes that had attendees buzzing with anticipation.
